Saskatchewan at 10,000 ft.
It was 4:36PM on Saturday, May 7th and I got a message from my friend Jamie asking if I wanted to go for a sunset flight. I didn't need much time to respond since there are not many things that I like more than a sunset, let alone one from 10,000 feet in the air.
April in Analog | April 2016 Photographic Review
April 2016 was a wonderful month. We were blessed with beautiful weather and after being pent up all winter, it didn't take much effort to get outside.
Bridge City, Saskatchewan
It’s been a considerable while since I’ve made my way up to Saskatoon, just two hours north from my home of Regina, Saskatchewan. Now that the winter’s snowfall has disappeared and spring is in full bloom, it was great to get away, even if it was just for a day.
Shoot Film | A Short Film
My name is Dustin Veitch and I am a photographer from Saskatchewan. I like to shoot digital but I love to shoot film. On a beautiful April evening, Herry (photosbyherry.com/), his girlfriend Sara, Tashia (thecurliestgirl.com/) and I decided to head to nearby Lumsden, Saskatchewan to enjoy the nice light and take some great photos.
Aurora in Analog
It's been a while since I have gone out for a night of shooting, out beneath the stars, long underwear and all but mild April weather and some lighthearted peer pressure got me in the mood to go and see some green snot in the sky. But this time, it was different. This time, it was on film.
Rapid E6 Kit | Preparing for the #summerofslidefilm
Previous to now, I had to take my exposed color-positive films down to my local photo store. Yes, there is only one real photo store and even they need to send their E6 processing away to be processed. Not only is the wait long but the cost has recently increased which adversely affects the accessibility of my favorite photographic medium.
Spring Cleaning
Dustin takes a look back over the month of March 2016 and shares some of the analog photographs that made the cut.
Best Before and Other Guidelines to Break
In preparation for #ExpiredFilmDay, I decided to buy some expired film from eBay. Turns out, there's a bit more to it than just loading it up and shooting away.
